Actually Ruby split is the right function to use, but Oracle called it wrong.
"FOO=bar=baz".split("=", 2) #=> ["FOO", "bar=baz"]
split has an optional parameter to limit the number of fields returned. See Ruby 2.6.2 Class: String documentation
Thanks for the info Doug! That makes more sense to keep with the
.split
function. I didn’t realize there was the optional parameter we could use.
